Since incorporation, we have been able to develop our business due to the transparency we have with our client base, primarily through their input. We believe our role can only operate by being active in providing solutions to our clients requirements, by direct and open dialogue, and the provision of unparalleled access to the client’s business operations. Therefore we extend our gratitude for their continued trust and support. Our success has been driven by the success of our clients, and with specific input from certain individuals that have helped us along our path.

The Founding Directors, having grown tired of the level of bureaucracy experienced within the Multi-National brokers and the lack of service they were providing to clients, outlined certain conditions that would allow the new entity to provide bespoke service levels to select clientele whilst at the same time seeking a position within the sector whereby the business philosophy would allow the company to remain private and discreet yet deliver significant expertise, at all times with the aim of integrity and engaging with the client base.

The business philosophy it has implemented has allowed Klein Insurance Management Ltd to meet these targets since its incorporation, having established the niche level of service that clients are very keen to obtain. This has subsequently evolved to now lead us to move past the traditional “broking” role, in that we are now effectively acting as an “advisor” allowing clients to establish specific strategies for and to benefit from their insurance programme.

We have to acknowledge Jack Klein, of JB Klein & Partners, who as a co-founder provided invaluable support in our early days, alongside Dr Raju Patel who became Managing Partner of JB Klein & Partners. Until his recent passing, Raju provided a level of corporate expertise and insight for which we shall always be indebted. Having become a personal friend to all of us within the Company, his legacy continues in the way we look to add value via the approach we bring to our client base.

It is in this way we continue to seek like-minded individuals and businesses that are looking for an advisor or broker that is different.

Klein Insurance Management Ltd is a privately owned business incorporated in England. It has remained since its incorporation privately owned and will continue to do so, having rejected a number of offers from potential purchasers throughout the last 10 years. There is no ultimate Holding Company and it maintains a close working relationship with a number of Broker Partners in the UK and overseas

Founders

Anthony S. Weyell, Chief Executive Officer

Having commenced his working career in the industry with Liverpool Victoria in 1988, he digressed into the broking sector initially with a small commercial broker. Having moved rapidly to a senior position at the company, he further progressed to the Lloyds Broker environment where he joined initially as part of the team responsible for commercial clients, overseen by Andrew Hewer.

It was at the then Lowndes Lambert plc some 4 years later that his career path led towards concentration upon Financial Lines & Liability based products. This experience has served very well since 1999 given the company’s client base and natural tendency towards Liability and Financial Lines based risks. However, his invaluable experience in multiple insurance classes allows for the co-ordination of programmes involving cross-class disciplines.

He was appointed as Chief Executive Officer after holding the position of Company Secretary for some 10 years post studying for a degree in Law. Holds the Lloyds Pass being the requirement to gain access to Lloyds of London.

Andrew J. Hewer, Director

Having started working for Prudential Insurance as an Underwriter in 1974, his career progression encompassed considerable time at a number of Lloyds Brokers where he was ultimately appointed Associate Director with responsibility for a team of Account Executives servicing Commercial clients, and then at Lowndes Lambert plc where he served as a Branch Managing Director overseeing a sizeable branch operation prior to the merger with the then Fenchurch Group. Since the incorporation of Klein Insurance Management Ltd in 1999, he served until last year as Managing Director of Klein Insurance Management Ltd.

Given the natural bias of his underwriting position at the Prudential Insurance Company, which focused upon Property & Casualty risks, this trend has continued within his subsequent career posts and with some 40 years of experience, he has co-ordinated a number of multi-million pound Property and Business Interruption losses for settlement.

He was appointed FCA Compliance Officer for the Company and also holds a Lloyds Pass

Michelle Weyell, Director

Appointed to the Board in April 2022 following considerable time implementing a number of client based initiatives and back-office systems within the Company from her position as a shareholder, Michelle brings a wealth of experience in retail customer initiatives and systems designed to aid in client service levels, having worked in non-insurance related sectors for a number of years.

She has successfully overseen the company´s recent application for CyberEssentials Certification and also a new back-office accounting and invoicing system that became fully operational in March 2022.

As Accounts Director, Michelle has overall responsibility for the reconciliation of Insurer and Client accounts, along with ensuring the Company´s Client Service Level aims are maintained in accordance with its documented policies and procedures.
